Lots to celebrate this week as a team.  Let's take a look at the outcomes.

JV – 8th out of 21 teams
I think we did a really nice job of Overcoming (the “O” in VICTORS) on the JV side this week. We had guys battling through sickness, stress, and even one whose spikes broke during pre-race strides! Yet, they went out, competed hard, and came away with a quality performance, beating more than half the teams at the meet.
  • JV Athlete of the Week: Congratulations to Isaac Kuenzli! He showed great valor by putting himself in a new position, battling the whole way, and earning a nearly one-minute PR. Even more impressive, he was our 5th scorer, which is always a key role. Great job, Isaac, and congrats to our JV squad on a strong meet!
Varsity – 1st out of 21 teams!
Our boys raced with a lot of purpose. At the mile mark, they were bunched near the front, ready to fight for each other — which was awesome to see.
  • Special congrats to medal winners: Ethan Plier (6th), Koda Bruner (9th), and Joseph Ventura (16th)!
  • Varsity Athlete of the Week: Henry Roemer had a breakout performance, showing the courage to run up with the top pack. He earned a nearly one-minute PR and finished as our 5th scorer, much closer to our 4th. That gap closing was huge for team scoring and a big reason why we brought home the win. Congrats, Henry, and congratulations to the entire varsity squad on the team victory!

Looking Ahead
As exciting as this win was, we can’t be satisfied. If we want to achieve our goals at the end of the season, we must keep improving. Every athlete is a contributor, and each guy needs to push the next one daily. That’s how we’ll continue to grow.

The Laser Relays are a fun format — varsity splits into two races (1–4 and 5–8), giving our 5–8 runners a chance to practice being near the front.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Looking forward to another great week!
