First off, a very happy new year to everyone!
The January 1 date has been synonymous with resolutions and a motivated mindset of a fresh start. You can celebrate and build on great things you've done, the positive ways you acted, and your accomplishments. You can also learn from mistakes and put behind you anything that is mentally holding you down from pursuing limitless potential. Some will scoff at the idea of new years resolutions, claiming people may only hold to them for a short time, or won't think about them. But I believe taking time to reflect and dream are two of the most important things we can do as people. If it takes the turning of a new year to allow this process to happen, then that's great! Here's a chance to ask yourself what you can do to improve yourself and others you interact with. A chance to set goals that other people laugh at because they aren't brave enough to try the impossible. Goals that others create artificial barriers that stop them from pursuing them in the first place. Take down any barriers, believe in yourself, and pursue the impossible. This year, one of my goals for you boys is to love. Love each other as much as you can. Love yourself for who you are. Love what you have in your life. As a team, love is what will fuel us to be our best. Know that you have the love of your teammates, coaches and family every day. Motivate each other never to settle, and completely eliminate "I can't" from our vocabulary. Love and encourage your teammates lofty goals, and be sure to set your own lofty goals. Commit to goals by engaging in the process and bringing constant love. When we toe the line of an important meet, it's love that will bring us confidence and belief. Love is not something to be done once and a while, but rather a constant during and outside of practices. Love will be the driving force behind anything we hope to accomplish together. Love is where we will win. Dream unimaginable things. Let people doubt. Be the best you. Love more, and then some more after that! I will share some of my resolutions, feel free to share yours! Let's make it a great 2019! #NoLimits #BeDifferent

Remember to put ACTION behind your goals. Just like getting out for a run on a cold day, you need to take those first steps towards any goal or change you want to see. Make it a lifestyle.
