Hello Families of Hale XC!
New athletes to Hale XC, welcome! You are joining an amazing group of young men and women that carry a proud tradition. You will really come to learn a lot about living a life on values and building and loving teammates. You will become focused on the process instead of on outcomes. You will make lifelong friendships and develop life skills you won't find in a classroom. We welcome all athletes as long as they are willing to buy in and create a positive impact on the team. The job of every athlete is to leave the program in a better spot than when you came in. Carry on the tradition! Returning families, hello! I know I haven't blogged as much during track season and the reason is because Coach Dewitt does a weekend blog each week in his email and they are great. Hope you have been reading them and enjoying the 2021 Track and Field season! We are in for an amazing two weeks with sectionals and state ahead!! I did want to add to our blog our summer XC information. It's an interesting year with the later track season and quick transition to Summer XC! Information for summer running is set to go. I have linked the information below. We have a fun summer and fall in store. There will be detailed information communicated on our site as we approach important dates and the fall season so if it's new to you, now worries, we have you covered! Welcome to Hale XC, a proud tradition. Freshmen are highly encouraged to come to summer runs and get to know their new teammates. A very relaxed and fun environment and they will be eased in to the sport depending on their previous experience. Don't worry, almost every runner on our team had no previous experience in the cross country. Being new is great, and hey, if you played sports growing up, you are more than ready! You won't even believe what you can achieve over the coming years, so hop in and feel the love of this amazing team. Click on the links below for information on summer and fall XC! Our 7 Team Standards Summer Running Club - High School Dates/Tentative Schedule Parent Letter (info on shoes, our sport and more! Please note this is written to men's team as I had only coached the men's team in the past but applies to both genders!) Jr. Huskies XC Club (This is for 4th-8th graders and led by our H.S. team during their summer runs!) Be sure to get signed up with our athletic director and all forms in prior to our first official day of practice on August 16th! Email Coach Mach with any questions: [email protected] I look forward to meeting many new runners this summer and continuing to work with our returners. I look forward to seeing what kind of work they decide to put in together as a team this short summer! NO LIMITS. -Mach
