October racing! 

Our 1-8 spread has tightened to 90 seconds. 

Points matter!  Just 11 points separated 4 teams.  We were on wrong end of it this week, but that is good for learning and motivation headed into next week!  Conference will be close scores!  Great teams including us, a lot of possibilities - love wins.

We had 9 men ahead of our 5th scorer from last year at this time, and 8 at our ahead of our 3rd scorer in terms of places.  We are battle tested with great competitive meets, and ready to roll the next three weeks!

A strong pack.  Our team is only as good as our pack.  The sum of our parts.

Congratulations to John and Eli for both medaling.  Congrats to Ethan, Kai, Koda, Iker, Joel, Michael and Joseph on lifetime best races!  Our team is built on interchangeable parts and the pack.

This Week - GMC

For some that don't make the state team roster, conference will be your last race for the season!  We chose to focus on improving at conference with our young up and coming crew.  This will encourage our young athletes to perform well at conference and in the future sectionals and state as well!  Learn from our experienced athletes who will set the example.

Thank you to the Roemer family who will host the pasta party Friday for conference!  Their house is walkable distance from Hale as well for those that need a ride usually.

Sectionals t-short store is online only and will be closed on October 10th.  Click the link here to order,

Only seven men will go to the line at sectionals, and we will have around 9-10 guys continue training sectional/state weeks.  

Post Season Banquet/Uniforms
The Banquet for the team will once again be the Thursday following the state meet.  This year it is Thursday, November 2nd at 4:15 p.m.  We are hoping to once again do a potluck where families each bring an item!  Use the sign up below to sign up to bring food and/or utensils/plates/bowls.  We have 22 athletes and can assume around 2 family members per athlete.

The Monday after state on Monday, October 30th all athletes will need to turn in all issued uniforms (Jerseys, shorts, Jackets) after school in Coach Dewitt's room.  Anything not turned in will be assessed a fee to cover the cost of the item.  I'll touch base on winter sports and running opportunities there as well.
